VetAdvisor Mission Statement:
To provide veterans, service members and their families’ holistic coaching services to foster happy, well-adjusted, housed, and employed members of society. We provide these services through an accessible and reliable integrated communications platform.
VetAdvisor® is a highly focused and personalized coaching and screening service designed to support veterans in their reintegration to civilian life. Three Wire has provided VetAdvisor services to the Department of Veterans Affairs since 2007. Coaching is a collaborative process between veterans and their personal coach or a peer support specialist. Working together, specific problems related to the reintegration (e.g. mental health, wellness, occupational, financial) are indentified and a personal plan that creates goals and timelines to address and resolve those problems is developed. Coaching is about achieving the empowerment necessary for veterans to lead a holistically complete life. Coaches do not act as therapists or counselors, and are not designed to replace primary care or mental health providers, but to augment existing services.
VetAdvisor® provides the right care, in the right place, at the right time by allowing flexible scheduling to ensure convenient meeting times, by eliminating any travel time, by offering the privacy of one’s own home, and by providing continued access to a Coach. VetAdvisor® employs an integrated communications platform to help returning service members achieve the empowerment necessary to lead a holistically complete life.
