Falls Church, VA – VetAdvisor® has offered proactive preventative care to military veterans since 2007. With the improved features and power of its revamped platform, the company has definitively positioned itself as the nation’s expert in combining self-monitoring, evidence-based tracking of outcomes, and increased veteran engagement into one comprehensive care solution.

The VetAdvisor® platform embraces the quantified self paradigm to allow veterans to use their non-clinical, personal fitness and sleep monitoring devices to drive the conversation from the subjective to objective measurement of progress. VetAdvisor® coaches and veterans work together to establish personal plans with concrete steps to reach goals and track progress within the platform, providing a comprehensive solution to veteran engagement that redesigns the care experience to increase positive interactions and foster trust.

“The VetAdvisor® platform will allow our coaches to motivate veterans to get the help they need in their reintegration to civilian life,” states Jennifer Roseman-Farabaugh, Vice President of VetAdvisor® Services. “We provide proactive preventative care and support around behavioral health, wellness, careers, and financial issues, allowing federal agencies and private organizations alike to hire, train, and retain a veteran workforce.”

The VetAdvisor® coaching platform provides a structured framework for coach-to-veteran engagement. At its core the VetAdvisor® platform is a Veteran Relationship Management product that leverages open, standards-based APIs and services to support personalized navigational advocacy for Veterans. VetAdvisor® supports multi-modal forms of engagement between veteran their coach. From private text chat, to SMS messaging and social media connections, to phone, video conference and 3D virtual worlds, the VetAdvisor® platform provides a structured, data driven engagement environment that meets the unique needs and preferences of each veteran.

The VetAdvisor® advantage is Milestone Velocity™, the quantitative measure of success in proactive preventative care. VetAdvisor® tracks each veteran’s Milestone Velocity™ as an objective measurement that enables coaches to gain the insights needed to apply just the right help at the right time and drive better outcomes. The nexus of technologies in the VetAdvisor® platform provides evidence-based tracking of outcomes, driving efficiency and allowing each coach to reach a larger number of veterans. Greater efficiency engenders reduced cost and increased return on investment.

Assisting Wounded Warriors in Career Transition

Ebensburg, PA – Three Wire Systems is a proud provider of career coaching for veterans. It isn’t enough for Three Wire to simply “talk the talk,” though. The company announced today that it is also “walking the walk” by becoming a member of Northrop Grumman’s Network of Champions.

Northrop Grumman (NG) has been providing transition support to severely injured service members for years through Operation IMPACT (Injured Military Pursuing Assisted Career Transition), a program designed to identify career opportunities across NG for wounded warriors. Operation IMPACT is unique in that, if the veteran’s injury precludes entering the workforce, NG attempts to find career placement for that veteran’s family member who serves as the primary wage earner.

In 2009, NG created the Network of Champions, over 87 companies who have partnered with NG to provide a wider network of employment opportunities. If NG is unable to identify an available position, that candidate’s resume is shared with Network members in the hopes of finding a position fitting the candidate’s unique skills and abilities.

“Three Wire is dedicated not only to assisting veterans in their search for employment, but also in reducing veteran unemployment by providing jobs for our wounded warriors and their families,” states Jennifer Roseman-Farabaugh, Three Wire’s Vice President of VetAdvisor® Services. “We’re thrilled to partner with Northrop Grumman in helping to make life easier for those who have served our country.”

Members of the Network of Champions work in partnership with one another, sharing information on various outreach activities and leveraging best practices. The result is a community of like-minded companies, all working toward the goal of providing career transition support to injured service members and their families.

Affiliation Targets Military Veterans

Falls Church, VA – A good night’s sleep can be challenging for all of us, but military veterans experience sleep disorders in disproportionate numbers. In order to better support this population, Lark Technologies and Three Wire Systems are working together to make the LARK™ personalized sleep program more readily available to veterans through Three Wire’s VetAdvisor® platform.

Designed by leading sleep experts, the LARK™ silent alarm, sleep tracker, and personal sleep coach offers cutting-edge sleep tracking and personalized sleep coaching. The LARK™ wristband synchs to an app available for all iOS devices, allowing the user to tailor a sleep plan and self-monitor in order to improve sleep patterns and quality.

As a solution designed to help veterans in their reintegration to civilian life, including the management of sleep disorders, VetAdvisor® is a perfect way for veterans to discover LARK™’s advantages and to integrate sleep management with an overall wellness plan.

“We’re incredibly excited about the possibilities LARK™ holds for military veterans and sleep management,” states Three Wire CEO Dan Frank. “The advantage of the LARK™ is that it allows vets to self-monitor and encourages engagement in both the problem at hand and its solution. We’re looking forward to specifically addressing veteran-centric sleep issues with LARK™ users who are plugged into our VetAdvisor® platform.”

Because VetAdvisor® centers around self-monitoring and achieving wellness through a focus on the quantified self, LARK™ compliments the platform’s other personalized components.

“We are honored to be working with Three Wire Systems and to help America’s honored veterans as they re-enter civilian life,” says Julia Hu, Founder and CEO of LARK. “As veterans adjust to an entirely new schedule, adequate rest can be elusive. We are eager to help vets improve their sleeping habits so they can take full advantage of their time spent awake, enjoying the comforts of home.”

Falls Church, VA – On stage at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, VA last night, Dan Frank, Three Wire Systems’ CEO, stood before more than 650 leaders of the DC-area business community to accept the 2012 Washington SmartCEO/Clifton Gunderson Future 50 Award. The award recognizes Three Wire as one of the area’s 50 fastest growing companies based on employee and revenue growth over the past three years.

“I’m proud of Three Wire’s comprehensive growth, particularly given the tough economic climate. Our success is a testament to the quality of our products and services, but also to the quality of our team,” Frank states. “It’s notable that our numbers reflect smart growth. We’ve achieved these milestones while remaining true to our mission.”

Companies selected for the 2012 Future 50 each generate in excess of $5 million in annual revenue, collectively generating $11.7 billion and employing more than 30,000 people. Over the past three years this select group has increased revenue by 74 percent and expanded employee rosters by 72 percent.

“Comprehensive growth is applause-worthy in healthy economic times. This year’s group of winners has ignored the recession and created innovative new avenues for growth. The business community is healthier and stronger due to their efforts,” says SmartCEO magazine President and Co-founder Craig Burris.

Three Wire Systems and all Future 50 winners are profiled in the January, 2012 edition of SmartCEO magazine.

Falls Church, VA – The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) is hosting a major Veteran-focused career fair and exposition to provide job opportunities, employment services and information on benefits available to Veterans. The Veteran Career Fair and Expo will take place on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Federal agencies, public and private sector organizations will be on hand to interview Veterans for over 5,000 job openings and extend tentative job offers. Veterans will be able to attend training on building resumes and interviewing and learn about small business opportunities. In addition, VA will be showcasing its VA for Vets program, which provides the most advanced online “high-tech” and “high touch” approach to recruiting, hiring, retaining, and reintegrating Veterans into civilian careers. VA for Vets includes an integrated military skills translator and career assessment tool; a resume builder to help Veterans more readily compete for open positions; and avatar-based technology that connects deployed Service Members back to VA during and after their operational missions.

VA for Vets also connects Veterans and Military Service Members working at VA with coaches who provide career guidance and reintegration support. To learn more, visit www.VAforVets.VA.gov.

Serco and its partners, including Three Wire Systems, LLC, have supported the implementation of VA for Vets and provides ongoing execution services for the initiative by providing program management, IT support, website management, career center, coaching, call center, help desk, training and communications support. Kitty Nix, Program Director for Serco states, “We are privileged to be a part of this historic event and providing support to improving Veteran employment.”

Veterans looking to translate their military skills and create a resume in advance of the event can visit the VA for Vets career center at www.VAforVets.VA.gov. Veterans attending the Career Fair and Expo should bring proof of military service. If Veterans are unable to locate proof of service, VA staff members will be available to assist them on the day of the event. Free child care service is available. To learn more about the event, visit VAforVets.com/DC.
